Walker, Frederick Edward
1835-
English organist, chorister and singer. He was born in
London; served as chorister in the Chapel Royal, in 1858 was vicar-choral of
St. Paul's, master of the boys in 1867, held the post of conductor, 1883, of
the Brixton Philharmonic Society, became professor of singing at the Royal
Academy of Music. He won success as concert singer, also as player of the
organ, piano and violin.
