Vollweiler, Karl
1813-1848
Born at Offenbach. His musical instruction was
obtained from his father, who was a professor at Frankfort and Heidelberg.
After living for some time at Hanau, he taught music for several years in St.
Petersburg. The latter part of his life was spent in Heidelberg. His
compositions are instrumental, comprising a symphony, two trios, variations on
Russian themes and a sonata.
