Hall, Charles King
1845-1895
English composer and organist; born in London. His
first position as organist was at St. Paul's, Camden Square, afterwards at St.
Luke's, then at Christ Church. He wrote School for the Harmonium and the
Harmonium Primer. He composed much churchmusic, many songs and piano-pieces and
operettas. Among these are Foster-brothers; Doubleday's Will; A Tremendous
Mystery; The Artful Automaton; Grimstone Grange; The Naturalist, and others.
